According to the plaque - just visible towards the centre of the photograph - the building dates from 1895 and formed part of Cheltenham's first electricity supply. It was based on the Strozzi Palace in Florence. Quite recently converted into apartments to let: the modern glazed building behind forms part of the conversion.
