This is a junction of two cross-border cycle routes to Scotland. The route to the left runs via Scotch Knowe and down the Kershope valley (National Cycle Network Regional Route 10, the Reivers Route); the route to the right climbs up to Bloody Bush before descending either to Kershope or direct into Newcastleton.
