View northwards, towards Gloucester, Cheltenham, Birmingham and the North. This is the four-track stretch between Tuffley Junction, Gloucester and Standish Junction: the left-hand pair of tracks carry the LMR (ex-Midland) traffic of the Birmingham New Street - Bristol main line; the right-hand pair, the ex-GW Swindon - Gloucester - (South Wales)/Cheltenham - Birmingham Snow Hill traffic. The 08.00 Sheffield Midland to Paignton has (as far as Bristol) LMS 'Jubilee' 6P 4-6-0 No. 45607 'Fiji'.
