An oasis of green public open space in an otherwise largely industrial landscape, the playing fields are named after Harold Wesley, a former president of the Acton Chamber of Commerce and a local benefactor. They are on North Acton Road. Old Ordnance Survey maps show that the park was known as Wesley Playing Fields by at least 1935.
