The corner façade above Sam's Chicken has a large painted sign advertising "Whitbread's Ale & Stout in Bottle" with a picture of a bottle of Whitbread Pale Ale. The Brewery History website http://www.breweryhistory.com/Defunct/LondonNorth.htm describes the premises as a former off-licence. Buckingham Road is to the left.
