A rodding cover beside a grating at Stranmillis Gardens. It was cast by Stewart’s Foundry of Sandy Row. I haven’t been able to discover the exact location of the foundry but it seems to have existed in the early 20th century with the proprietor living around the corner on the Donegall Road. If anyone happens to know where it was (or when it ceased trading) please let me know. Image shows the inscription.
