A very new section of road, avoiding the traffic lights near Abbey Stadium. The bridge carries the B4019. Note the route confirmatory sign's modern supports, composed of a metal lattice, designed to crumple in collision. These may be compared with the older steel tubular design found on earlier rebuilds of the A419 around Swindon (see, for example: http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2088179 ).
