This quaint looking brick and timber building abutting bridge 74 was the passenger terminal for users of the packet service which for a short period in the 19th century ran between Newtown and Heath Houses to connect with the railway. The Wolverhampton Swift Packet Boat Co. advertised a schedule of approx 5 hours for the 32 miles and 22 locks trip.
