Glasgow: a disused footbridge spiral

This is the end of a disused footbridge which crosses the M8 and associated main roads running alongside. It has been cordoned off and the railings removed, although they do remain on the top of the bridge, as can be seen at the left-hand edge of the picture. My understanding is that the bridge was never completed on the other side of the motorway, because it was intended to connect with a leisure/hotel complex which, in the event, was never built.
