Wander around the church before you enter and you will find a scratch dial on the quoins of the chancel south wall. Note the lack of buttressing and the little bell turret with its single bell sits comfortably on the roof at the west end of the nave. The tower fell many hundreds of years ago, so many in fact the threshold in the porch is made from two of the tower gargoyles.
