This famous little church is on a back-road to nowhere, but once you have found it be sure to go round to the north side and see the grave of little Joseph who died on his second birthday and because he hadn’t been baptised, was refused a burial in consecrated ground. The story was national news at the time and caused much dissent in the Church. The church itself has only been in occasional since 1972. The church dates from around the 14th c. and the south tower serves as a porch. There are still traces of the former church in the Norman slit window in the nave with pillared jambs.
