The West frontage of this moated medieval manor house. “The first seven feet of the wall are of faced flints from an earlier period and above that the wall is of much rougher construction made of bits and pieces of re-used stone, new flint and some brick.” [A Thousand Years on a Chiltern Farm, Tony Harman”] The roof is Tudor.
