A mobile post office stands outside Hemingford Grey's permanent post office on a Sunday afternoon. In the week the vehicle provides a service to the villages of Over and Holme. In a very unusual arrangement, the post office here is incorporated into the St James Parish Centre, and the Vicar of Hemingford Grey is also the sub-postmaster. More details of this initiative by the church to provide services in a rural area are described here: http://www.ely.anglican.org/news_events/mobile-po.html .
