The fields of Keyingham Ings looking south-southwest from Ottringham Road. The 'spikes' on the horizon are some of the many chimneys and towers at Immingham across the River Humber. Traditionally, the 'ings' referred to better drained areas of pasture land where hay could be cut in the summer, as opposed to the 'carrs' which were poorly drained and only used for pasture when the water level was low.
