The ventilation shaft is from the Glaston railway tunnel which is still in use taking trains from Melton Mowbray to Corby and Kettering. A bricked up doorway is visible. The picture is taken from the top of a spoil heap which has a triangulation point on its top Image A layby on the A47 trunk road is in the background.
