The hay field has been cut and the bales still waiting collection. They are normally wrapped in black plastic for storage. With bales this large, nobody is going to steal any for horse fodder. Some farmers still make the old smaller bales to be sold to people wanting to take one or two away in the back of their Chelsea Tractor to feed the horses.
