View west, from up above on the A467. The shed was on the west side of the ex-Great Western Newport - Western Valleys line, south of Aberbeeg station where the major branch to Ebbw Vale left the Ebbw Fach line to Nantybwch and Brynmawr. Coded 86H (in 1954), all being tank-engines, mainly 0-6-0T for yard and trip work with also some 2-8-0T and 0-6-2T for taking the coal trains as far as Severn Tunnel Junction Yard. It was closed in 12/1964.
