A stroll around this neighbourhood, on the eastern slopes of Gullane Hill, is a delight; especially on a sunny day. All the houses are different and each, in turn, can be enjoyed. I suspect that this house is not as old as the architectural style would at first suggest. In particular, the two curved-headed dormers closest to the inner angle of the 2 roofs, if contemporaneous with the rest of the house, hint at architectural pastiche rather than genuine antiquity.
