The massive font is at the west end of the church and is of Saxon/Norman origin. The rugged bowl was found being used as a stepping stone in a brook at Horton. Traditionally it had been used as a font in Knowlton http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1149238 The church http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/474105 was, on the day of my visit, being made ready for a flower festival.
