Designed by the City Architect's department just after World War II, this was regarded as a bold and radical modern design at the time and won a number of awards. There are shops on the ground floor with maisonettes above, and the area also includes community facilities such as a library which has recently been rebuilt - see Image] Also see Image] - a view from the opposite direction - for more information.
