If you're looking for a good honest Free House pub you can hardly do better than this place; the landlord and landlady's hospitality is on an unbelievably generous scale, there's good beer, good company and the landlady's homemade Chilli left my lips buzzing for a few hours afterwards, it was truly great. Plus they let dishevelled, unshaven, hairy walkers camp on their front lawn, provide hot showers free of charge and let me re-charge my mobile phone, also free. All I did was arrive unannounced, eat their food, drink their refreshments, dirty their towels, consume quantities of their hot water, pay a few quid and leave very early the next morning.
