George John Gregory Gregory was made Mayor of Dorchester in 1872, 1873, 1884, 1885 and 1894. The Post Office Directory of 1875 states he was an "architect, surveyor, builder and contractor" and his address is given as South Street. Mr Gregory died on 16th February 1896. Charles Hansford was a trusted friend of the above as he was chosen as one of the executors of Mr Gregory's will.
