The Three Horseshoes Inn opened for business on this site in the early 1770s. It had a covered entrance leading to several cottages at the far end of the yard behind the inn. There was plenty of stabling for horses and in 1867 it was licensed to let post horses. The Three Horseshoes Inn was a well known meeting place in Warminster for 250 years. Following it's closure in 1968 the present shopping centre was constructed. A major refurbishment of the centre was carried out in 1999 with the former inn name being maintained through the name the Three Horseshoes Walk.
