Signs high up on the canalside wall tell us that the building on the right was formerly occupied by Glynwed Screws and Fastenings Ltd and Yarwood Ingram & Co (another member of the Glynwed group). As far as I can find out, the Yarwood Ingram company was dissolved in 1984 and the Glynwed Screws business closed in the 1990's. According to signs on the Ledsam St frontage the building is now occupied by a furniture manufacturer and a fencing manufacturer. The buildings further on on the right are the rear of the former Belliss and Morcom Ledsam Street works. The railings on the right are on the edge of an access ramp to Monument Road bridge. The bridge on the left is over the entrance to Monument Road railway interchange basin.
