Seen from the Birmingham Canal. Darcast (http://www.darcast.com/ ) was founded in 1915 and market themselves as 'The world leading manufacturer of shell-moulded crankshafts'. Together with Incanite Foundries and Avery, there is quite a concentration of industry in this small part of Smethwick.
