The TUP brand was used by the Massive Pub Company for sports-orientated pubs, and this was one of their chain. Unfortunately the company wasn't massive enough to overcome its financial problems, so it went into administration early in 2008. The pubs were sold off, including this one, so it is now under different ownership, but has retained the strange name. Until some years ago the pub was known as The Spread Eagle. Image
