Coal merchants are far less common today than they were in the past. This one, J Hutchinson Fuels Limited, has been going since 1813, which is quite an achievement. They trade as By the Fire, and as well as being coal merchants, they have diversified into selling fireplaces and stoves, for gas, electric and solid fuel.
