This old pump is on the road verge by one of the lesser used gates into windsor park. It's very big for a hand pump, and the bore looks like it was capable of drawing a lot of water per stroke. And why so tall. Was it for a ride-in horse wash or something. Update:- another contributor has suggested it was probably for filling a water delivery cart. Thanks for that.
