Dixon Road, seen here, runs 'uphill' from Middlewood Road to Wadsley Lane and is atypical of many Hillsborough Roads in this area. Hillsborough Park is behind the photographer's position. Middlewood Road is in the foreground complete with Tram Tracks and Overhead Power Lines. Dixon Road is named after the Dixon Family - the local 'big wigs' who lived many years ago in the nearby Hillsborough Hall, now the Library. See also ... Image
