On the corner of Church Lane and Chadwick Street. It was built in 1888 and was acquired by Oswald Carver in 1898 and a gymnasium was built and opened in 1900. The Marple Dramatic Society moved into "Carver's Recreation Club" in 1920 and acquired the building in late 1929. More information on the theatre website: http://carvertheatre.co.uk/index.php/history
