This footbridge carries an ancient green road over the Swannington Incline. The original structure was damaged by mine subsidence, partially demolished when the line closed, then buried under mine shale. The abutments were stabilised and the current bridge built in 1993. This view down the incline shows Church Lane bridge in the background.
