At the junction of Academy Lane with the High Street. The Hotel was built in 1903/4 and is distinctive by its elegant corner tower overseeing the Town Centre and main shopping area. During both World Wars the Station Hotel was extensively used by the Armed Forces, as was the adjacent Cromarty Firth as a secure naval base. As can be seen from the picture, Alness is renowned for its lavish floral displays. http://www.station-hotel.org/
