The Perrins family of Lea & Perrins Sauce fame owned Ardross Castle and showered many gifts upon the local population including the Ardross Alness Club for young working men. The inscription reads : "This stone was laid by Mrs Dyson Perrins of Ardross October 19th 1903" Image
