View northward towards Warrington and the North; London & North Western West Coast Main Line, Crewe - Carlisle. The 06.15 Carlisle - Crewe semi-fast is stopping to pick up me (and my wife, and others) on a bitterly cold day in December 1962. The wires are for the electric trains that started to run between Liverpool and Crewe on 1/1/62.
