On Tredegar Street opposite the police station. A stone inscription on the front of the building states BETHANY ENGLISH BAPTIST CHAPEL BUILT 1858 REBUILT 1875 'English' in its name refers to the language in which services were conducted, in an area where Welsh was the prevalent language in the middle of the nineteenth century. The building was Grade II listed in 1999.
