The old Youth Hostel on Peachfield road occupied a former typical Malvern Victorian house in its own large gardens. The house has been converted into "1 & 2 bedroom luxury apartments" and two new detached houses have been erected on the old garden. This type of infilling is taking place on many of the larger properties in Malvern, but here the access road has been given its own name "Holly View Drive" and locals fear that this may extend into the adjoining land where planning permission has been sought for the demolition of a bungalow (built as an infill development itself) and the erection of a block of flats. The planning notices can be seen on the gate to the left of the drive.
