The new buildings for the wind turbine tower factory are taking shape on the northern edge of the Machrihanish airfield. The new buildings dwarf the control tower which stands in front of them. The Sound of Kintyre housing estate lies behind the factory and airfield. The visible wind turbines are part of the Tangy windfarm.
