This lovely lions head conduit head feature is in the wall alongside East Lodge in Brockhampton, and is listed Grade II. The inscription above the head reads 'THOSE OCCUPYING HOUSES BUILT PRIOR TO 1835 ARE WELCOME TO USE THE WATER SUPPLY FOR DOMESTIC, COOKING AND DRINKING PURPOSES ONLY DURING THE PLEASURE OF THE OWNER OF BROCKHAMPTON PARK OR HIS REPRESENTATIVES.' The inscription below lion's head spout -'THIS SUPPLY HAS BEEN PLACED HERE ONLY TO AUGMENT PRESENT SUPPLIES AND MAY BE DISCONTINUED AT ANY TIME SHOULD CIRCUMSTANCES DEMAND IT.' Behind the wall is a tree lined avenue which is in line with the bridge over the lake at Brockhampton Park, part of the changes made in the early 20th century.
