A view east along the tracks as 40012 'Aureol' approaches with a short freight train. In the foreground a Midland Railway style semaphore signal stands proud against the blue summer sky. Close to one of the guy wires of the signal, looking like a speck of dirt, a bird of prey circles. Behind the train a bridge carrying a farmers occupational crossing can be seen. The trees on the left mark the course of the River Wenning.
