Next to St Jude's church in Tilstone Fearnall is a house bearing a coat of arms over the door - "Irms, Argent, a frette sable. Crest, A horse's head erased gules, between two wings or, pelletee. MOTTO, Confido conquiesco." This is the coat of arms of Baron Tollemache one of whose seats was in Peckforton Castle. He was a Member of Parliament for West Cheshire 1841-68.
