This part of Gloucester is being pedestrianised I suspect, hence all the paraphernalia associated with roadworks in the image. The Brunswick Baptist Chapel, a 1960s (as a guess) structure is next to the Black Swan Hotel. The hotel is listed Grade II and dates from 1849 http://www.imagesofengland.org.uk/details/default.aspx?id=472482 The church is probably not listed.
