Melford Hall – the home of generations of Hyde Parkers – a distinguished naval family. The vertical lines of the building are impressive. Admiral Sir Hyde Parker II (1739-1807) commanded the British fleet during the battle of Copenhagen in April 1801 with Horatio Nelson as his second-in-command.
