A motorist ignores the Road Closed sign (which does seem a bit unnecessary) to drive past the roadworks under the railway bridge by Bury St. Edmunds Station. We only wanted a way to safely cross Fornham Road at the back of Tescos, but someone has decided on an overkill solution involving a complete reprofiling of this junction. It appears to obstruct traffic even when completed, by removing the lanes for left and right turning vehicles. As usual the sugar factory silos dominate the skyline, with another part of the factory visible above the bridge.
