The church of St Nicholas > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1577023 has a central tower and dates from Norman times. It was extensively restored in the 19th century when much of its original features were removed. The original candle beam and canopy of the rood screen > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1990177 remain in place at the west end of the central crossing.
