Rabbit in the upper Doethie Valley

There are plenty of rabbits about in the valley this year. About four or five years ago, for one season only, there were no rabbits at all here despite being common in previous years. This was observed in the whole upper Doethie valley, over and beyond Blaendoethie farm. However the rabbit population remained high just a few miles away in Cwm Brefi that year. Strange. This chap didn't spot me for a while, as I was standing motionless between him and the evening sun, awaiting the re-emergence of a fox who was lurking.
