Several cyclists homeward bound after office hours make use of the newly-opened "London cycle superhighway" on Southwark Bridge Road. These blue-surfaced wide cycle lanes are supposed to improve safety for cyclists as well as providing easy-to-follow routes in from the suburbs. As seen from the banner here, their construction was sponsored by Barclays Bank.
