A view of the River Lea Navigation looking towards the Town Bridge with Wickhams Wharf on the left, the site of which used to be occupied by one of the factories of D Wickham & Co Ltd. Wickhams were railway engineers who not only supplied trains to British Railways, but exported them all over the world. At one time they were among the town's largest employers.
