The long distance path leads on a byway from the Elham Valley Road, past Whitehall Farmhouse and Thomas Acre Farm, then it turns right onto a footpath towards Wingmore. The byway carries straight on towards Wingate Farmhouse. Another farm track heads left towards several fields.
