This building was a youth hostel operated by the Youth Hostels Association (England & Wales) (YHA) between 1952 and 1970. (Source:Neal, Tim; Neal, Simon (1993). Youth Hostels of England and Wales 1931-1993, referred to on Wikipedia, 2010. Also postcard of hostel enabled me to locate the building.)
