This box is now over 100 years old, and is still doing service. It stands outside St. Paul's Church, near the junction with Queens Road. King Edward VII's reign was relatively short, so boxes from his time are not the most commonly found. This one has a "full scroll" cipher. The name of the manufacturer McDowall Steven & Co. Ltd., London & Glasgow, appears on the bottom black painted section of the box. This box number is KT2 15. Post code is KT2 6SE. Last collection is 5.30pm but 12 noon on Saturdays. Image
